Hi! Thanks for visiting. I'm an American photographer living in Buenos Aires. These are photos from the blog I kept on my site from 2003 to 2009. I now have redesigned the home page to just show a portfolio of my current work. I also blog at BuenosAiresPhotographer.com where I post my baires snapshots.
Cathedral in Taxco, a colonial city about 3 hours south of Mexico City known for its silver workshops
A small church in Tepoztlan, near Cuernavaca More Mexico City Pics
Mexico City Flickr Set, all the photos below plus another 60 or so.
My friend Aaron traveled with me, took lots of pictures and posted them on his blog. He's a lot more daring about taking pictures of random strangers and so the images are quite interesting. The photos are on four separate posts: one, two, three, four.
Inside of a Tepoznieves ice cream shop in Tepoztlan, admitedly outside of DF but nearby.
Bars guarding a Jardin de Infantes or kindergarten.
Public bathrooms outside a metro stop
Swingset and mural in Tlatelolco
Blue tarp covering a market vendor with lots of crazy wires above it casting shadows
The Metro
My bedroom at The Red Tree House, a small guest house in La Condesa that my friend Zeke recommended and that, as you might be able to tell from the picture, was a fantastic place and which I can recommend to anyone. Aaron and I stayed in the Penthouse.
My friends Armando and Juan
Alexis, Aaron and Javier
Alexis, me, Javier, and Magnolia
Walking to Javier's place in Roma, Aaron and I came across the filming for a Telenovela. The plot seems to involve a lost dog named Flofi.
The Geology Museum in Santa Maria de la Ribera, which appears to be unchanged since the Porfiriato.
Heavy metal T-shirt vendor in El Chopo
Trash can at El Chopo market
I liked the umbrella covering the do not litter sign
Kids formal wear at Lagunilla market
Herbal remedies for sale in the Metro
This chicken vendor at Jamaica market claims his chickens are the best but his visual metaphor makes me think they're pumped up on steroids
T-shirt at the souveneir stalls outside of the Basilica de la Virgen de Guadalupe
Vochomania - The original Volkswagen beetles were manufactured at VW's factory in Puebla until 2003. The iconic Mexico City taxis still prowl the streets but they are steadily disapparing, like NYC's Checkered cabs.
Pig's Head at Mercado Jamaica. My friend Aaron, traveling with me, demanded I take this photo. So here you are.
Roses at Mercado Jamaica which is DF's wholesale flower market
Taking the spines out of Nopales
Lotsa Limes
Colorful packages of Gorditas de Canela outside of the Basilica de la Virgen de Guadalupe.
Tamarindo, chips and chetos for sale on a Sunday in Parque Chapultepec
Santa Fibra, perdone mis pecados alimentarios Seriously, I had no idea Kellog's had so deeply extended the All Bran brand into ancillary products in Mexico. All I can say is, gracias a dios
Molletes at Sanborns in the Zona Rosa for breakfast
Tortilla Soup at the Four Season on Reforma. I'm usually more of a street foodie but my friend Aaron swore by their soup. And he was right. More Mexico City Pics

Me in a hoodie See ya August 20th. I'm going to Mexico City. I could update from there but I'm out of fotos for now. Don't worry, tho. I'll take a ton of photos and probably stretch it out on this blog for a month since I find the Bay Area so photographically fallow.
Great America is this amusement park in Santa Clara that will probably be torn down in a few years--the land is just too valuable. The rides are small compared to the monster drops at the various Six Flags parks around the country. I found myself there on Friday for fairly random reasons.
Someone forgot to tell the sign painter that 101 is not an interstate.
Hi. I'm a 33 year-old American currently living in Buenos Aires. Before that I lived in California, Sao Paulo and New York and if you browse through the archives below you can see photos of all those places. Currently I'm posting most of my pictures on BuenosAiresPhotographer.com. I also have an old geocities page with some outdated information but also more photos of Buenos Aires, friends and my 9/11 pictures.
