Hi! Thanks for visiting. I'm an American photographer living in Buenos Aires. These are photos from the blog I kept on my site from 2003 to 2009. I now have redesigned the home page to just show a portfolio of my current work. I also blog at BuenosAiresPhotographer.com where I post my baires snapshots.
Treasure Island
Killing some time over the weekend in San Francisco I drove out to Treasure Island, which is this old Naval base on a landfill island in the middle of the bay. It's due to be majorly developed but for now retains the shabby, vaguely socialistic feel of US Military housing. The top shot is over the Bay Bridge from Yerba Buena Island. A much better version of this postcard-y shot can be found here.
Having grown up in the Bay Area there aren't many places I haven't hiked but El Corte de Madera Creek Open Space Preserve was one of them. The area was heavily logged until recently and massive stumps of old growth redwoods litter the place. It's got a very dense trail network left over, I think, from its logging days which makes the place very popular with mountain bikers. I was lapped several times by different groups on bikes.
Amman, Jordan My mom's the one who's been doing all the interesting traveling lately. She recently got back from a two week trip to Jordan to see Petra. I got her to upload a set of her Jordan photos on Flickr.

Popsicle in Dolores Park I have to credit my friend Courtney with this photo. Sometimes the best photos come from passing my camera around and just telling my friends to go wild.

Calendario Escolar de Instruccion de Todo el Año 2006-2007 del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Los Angeles This sheet shows the rather complex multi-tracked schedules of the LAUSD, designed to maximized limited classroom space. The ALL CAPS BOLD UNDERLINE makes this sheet a bit of a mess despite the ambitious attempt to represent complex scheduling information graphically. The equal font size for Spanish is quite a statement. I hope Lou Dobbs doesn't read my blog.
Hi. I'm a 33 year-old American currently living in Buenos Aires. Before that I lived in California, Sao Paulo and New York and if you browse through the archives below you can see photos of all those places. Currently I'm posting most of my pictures on BuenosAiresPhotographer.com. I also have an old geocities page with some outdated information but also more photos of Buenos Aires, friends and my 9/11 pictures.
