'Nothing's Cutie', Installation by Phoebe Washburn at LFL Gallery on 24th st. I typically visit art galleries to see photography shows but I'll wander into anything that looks interesting. On Saturday I stumbled across this fantastic installation made with simple wood blocks. It's precarious and vertiginous [big words!] and recalls the favelas in Rio. The gallery's website has some better photos. With my mildly telephoto lens, I couldn't get the full view, so you have my abstract, Cezanne-like photo [did I really just compare myself to Cezanne?].
